Hey, guys. Thank you for purchasing the Auto Agent 3. I'm going to give you a quick overview on some of the changes we've made and also how to install it.
Going back to the auto agent two. You can see some of the main differences are going to be the size. It comes with a built in OBD two connection, so there isn't the need for additional cables. You can connect it directly to your vehicle's OBD two port. We still have a micro SD card slot which is typically used for support functions. We also have a Usb-C port right on the side.
The setup process is super quick and super easy. You're going to take your mobile device, whether that be an iPhone or an Android tablet or smartphone, you're going to go to the app store. You're going to search for the auto agent app and download that app. It's a free app.
Once that's downloaded, you go into the app, you're going to be prompted to either log in or create an account. For those of you that already had an EZ LYNK account, you're simply going to log in. For those of you that need to create an account, you're going to create a log in. It's going to prompt you to put in your email and then create a password. Super simple.
Once we've set up our account and logged in, we're going to take the Auto Agent three. We're going to locate our vehicle's diagnostic connection. The majority are going to be OBD two connections, and not require additional cables. So we plug that in. After we plug that in, we turn the vehicle on. The auto agent uses a Wi-Fi connection to connect with your mobile device. It's not a mobile hotspot. It's simply a connection between the auto agent and your mobile device. We're going to go into our mobile devices settings. We're going to find Wi-Fi. The Wi-Fi is going to say EZ LYNK, underscore, and then your auto agent serial number. Once you've connected to Wi-Fi, you'll be prompted that there is an Internet available with this Wi-Fi connection. Do you want to always connect or ask every time. If you say that you're going to always connect, you'll have an auto connection to your auto agent every time you plug it in and turn it on. If you just want to choose every time you have that option, if you're looking for a safe and secure mounting solution, check out our EZ LYNK phone Mount Link in the description.
Some applications require additional cables to be purchased. We're going to go through a quick overview of what those cables are and how to plug them in to the auto industry. For automotive specific applications, we only have two. Right now we have our Nissan, Titan, Cummins, and we have our 18+ RAM. Those are going to use an OBD two connection to plug in to the auto agent three and then the additional cables are going to use our quick connector.
